Picture
1 hour

Intro: what we are going to do

Build a sculpture from the musical instruments given.
Add appropriate materials from home.
Aesthetic
Kinetic application of the sculpture
Practical application of the sculpture

Provocation Qs: Why is it important to make our campus more beautiful?
Provocation Qs: What other materials could we use with the wooden musical instruments?
Provocation Qs: Why does this have an impact on the environment?

Tell students the base materials they will have as a class. Explain that they will decide on one design or combine multiple designs together as a class. This design can evolve as they go along the design process.

Each student to sketch out their initial thoughts on what the sculpture might look like.
Design qs: How to join your materials together? What’s the meaning of the sculpture? Name?
What can you use from home? What can you use from the design centre?

Students present their ideas. Discussions ensue.

Decision made?

THE KIDS SHOULD SEE THIS a great video site!
